The Student Information Systems (SIS) Department is part of the Business Services Division of the Jefferson Parish Public School System.  The SIS Dept. has the responsibility of maintaining student information, administration of the collection and reporting of all aspects of student data in compliance with state and federal mandates.  It is also responsible for the state required information for all special education students that must be entered into the Special Education Reporting (SER) program. The accuracy of all student information is of critical importance to the system, as it is used for such issues as staffing, busing, MFP funding and TOPS.

The SIS Dept. implements and maintains the district-wide student management system used to input and manage data gathered by the schools and central office.  The student management system used by the SIS Dept. is Infinite Campus.  Infinite Campus provides JPPSS with the integrated tools needed to streamline student administration, enable stakeholder collaboration and individualize instruction. The system serves as a district-wide data warehouse allowing student data to be entered once and leveraged across the entire district supporting data-driven decision making.
